Screening for prostate cancer could ‘significantly’ reduce deaths

This press release highlights some of the amazing work being undertaken by Fellows of the Freemasons’ Fund for Surgical Research:

In June 2002 Miss Caroline Moore was a  Freemasons’ Fund for Surgical Research Fellow and Caroline’s research subject was Photodynamic therapy for prostate cancer.

In August 2023  Professor Caroline Moore was featured in the following ITV press release

“Professor Caroline Moore, consultant surgeon at UCLH, chief investigator of the study and NIHR research professor, said the findings are “sobering” and “reiterates the need to consider a new approach to prostate cancer screening”.
